What services do you offer?
• Logo and Identity Design
• Collateral Design (Print, Web, Apparel, Vehicle, Signage, etc.)
How much will it cost?
Cost is determined based on the following criteria:
1. Is the design for an individual, small business, or medium-large corporation?
2. Will the design be used locally, nationally, or globally?
3.
How complex is the project and what are the details involved?
Every design project is unique and the overall cost is ultimately determined based upon the size, scope, and details of each project. The best way to get started is to call me at 260 580 0099 and I will create a project estimate for you based upon our conversation.
What will be provided?
A typical logo design project includes custom logo design concepts, revisions, finalized raster and vector file formats, and all rights. Throughout the design process you will receive proof files via email. The finalized artwork will be provided in print-ready vector formats such as EPS and PDF. If it is a web-based project, layered PhotoShop files (PSD) and web-ready JPG, GIF, or PNG files may be provided. Specific file type requests will also be accommodated. A custom style guide indicating PANTONE color specifications for print and web may also be created upon request.
What is the design process?
Identity33 has a design blog with the intent of showcasing the process that goes on behind projects. In a nutshell, the design process involves:
1. Project Overview (Let's discuss your project details and goals)
2. Research, Research, Research
3. Brainstorming and Sketches (I sketch ideas on paper before going to the computer)
4. First Draft Presented and Feedback
5. Revisions and Final Design Presented
6. Delivery of Final Artwork
How do we get started?
Having a clear goal in view from the beginning, not only saves time and money, but will also yield a better final result. So, here's how to get started:
Call me at 260 580 0099.
Unless you live in the Fort Wayne area and we can meet face to face, there is really no substitute for an actual phone conversation to help get things off to a good start.
What sets you apart?
Let's begin with a brief summary and history of your organization or business. A link to an existing website is helpful if you have one. Is there a product, service, or quality that sets you apart from others?
What problem(s) would you like help solving?
You would not be looking for graphic design assistance if there was not something specific you were hoping to gain from the experience. For example, you want a new visual identity that will resonate with people in an intelligent and memorable way and also build confidence and loyalty among your preferred audience.
What are your favored demographics?
Who do you want to reach? Seriously, take some time to consider who it is that you want to connect with the most. Try to be as specific as possible regarding gender, age, income, education, location, etc.
What is your budget range?
It's best to think of graphic design in terms of value rather than cost. How valuable would professional graphic design assistance be to you and your business? Do you believe that good design is good business? As you know, not all graphic design services cost the same amount. Experience, quality, professionalism and location are all cost factors. You must ask yourself how much you are willing to invest in intelligent and relevant design solutions with the understanding that good design will help you build trust, boost loyalty, and ultimately make a difference.
Can you meet with me in person?
Yes! My preference would be to sit down face to face over your beverage of choice to discuss your project. Building lasting relationships with people is very important to me. Identity33 has worked with people across the country and if you happen to be located in the Fort Wayne area, I would love to meet with you in person.
How long will the project take?
Timeframes vary depending on the scope and complexity of the project. Thinking in terms of weeks, rather than days is more realistic if we are going to aim for the best results. I believe strongly in providing timely communication and professional service to everyone I work with.
Can you help me get my design printed, built, or installed?
Yes. I can prepare and send out estimate requests to local printers or prepare artwork for online printing. I can also help you locate printers or signage manufacturers in your area to produce and install your final designs.
What payment methods do you accept?
• Personal, Company, or Certified Check
• Money Order
• PayPal (You do not need to open a PayPal account to use this option.)
Unless otherwise agreed upon, an up front deposit of 50% (based on the initial project estimate amount) is required for all projects. The remaining 50% of the project invoice is due upon completion of the project, and just before delivery of the finalized artwork.
What software do you use?
Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium. This includes Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash and Acrobat Professional. (I am also a Continuing Education instructor for Adobe Illustrator and InDesign at Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne. If you or someone you know is interested in learning these programs, let me know and I would be happy to provide more information regarding course times and schedules.)
Do you provide speculative or 'spec' work?
No. Hiring a graphic designer is not like buying a car. You may be able to test drive a car, but requesting to test drive a designer is wrong. I have provided an online portfolio and blog showcasing completed projects. Hopefully, this will provide enough insight to discern whether or not I will be a good fit for your needs.
Do you ever donate work 'pro bono'?
Sometimes. Pro bono graphic design is professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment as a public service. I reserve the right to determine who, what, and when to provide work for the public good. If we do enter into a pro bono project, we will still follow the same design process used for any other project and set up specific goals, expectations and limits.
What if I have more questions?
If you have additional questions that are not covered here, please feel free to contact me via email or call 260 580 0099. I look forward to hearing from you!
Cordially,

Brad Thomas
